Cougars Read and Ride
Now that the bike desks have been assembled, EWE Cougars are enjoying moving their bodies while they focus on reading during Morning Maker time.

Thanks to the tremendous support from EWE families and teachers, we're adding 30 new books to the library.

Book Fair profits surpassed the goal, and the new books have been ordered. Check the library in person and online to see what's new in the collection!
Pete the Cat Boogies Into Book Fair/Family Night
Pete the Cat showed up to visit with EWE kids and families February 5th in the library.
Author Erin Hunter Visits EWE
Third and fourth graders learned about writing from prolific author Erin Hunter during her visit to Edgewood February 5.

Ms. Hunter is the author of the Bravelands series, as well as the Warriors, Seekers, and Survivors series. All of these series feature animals as main characters and include multiple volumes in each series.
​
Students asked great questions such as, "How do you come up with ideas for your stories?" Ms. Hunter answered that and many other student questions as she interacted with the students. She also shared her love of animals through photos of some of her pets.
This visit was sponsored by Blue Willow Book Shop on Memorial Drive. Copies of the new Bravelands series are available in the library as are many of her other series.
